Students can fill out a Special Consideration application form if they miss an exam or need an extension on an assessment
If a student misses or experiences an issue with an online test or needs an extension on an assessment, they need to fill out a Special Consideration Application Form (insert link).
Completed applications must be returned to Hello@holmes.edu.au within 3 business days of the due date.
Medical reasons for extension
If the reason is an acute illness/medical in nature, the top section on Page 2 of the form MUST be completed by a doctor/GP. A medical certificate on its own is NOT sufficient.
Technical issues for extension
If the reason is Other i.e. technical issues, mistaken submission, etc., students need to submit ALL of the below documents/information in ONE email:
- Special Consideration form
- A separate letter of explanation (not on the form)
- Proof of the issue or cause of mistake i.e. screenshots, initial emails, etc…
- Location i.e. Surfers Paradise where the assessment was undertaken and IP provider name e.g. IINET
After receiving the form and supporting documents, it will be assessed and decision provided within 10 business days.
